Pastor Demetrius Springer Sr. accepted the call to ministry at the age of 19. He began his journey as a Christian recording artist and itinerant preacher as he traveled throughout the country proclaiming the good news of Christ with both song and word. Pastor Demetrius previously served as Youth Pastor at Winton Hill Community Church (PCUSA) under the tutelage of Reverend Dr. Theodore “Chip” Hall before serving in the same role at Third Presbyterian Church in 2014. In 2017, he transitioned from Youth Pastor to Associate Pastor before accepting the role of Senior Pastor in 2019. As Senior Pastor, Pastor Demetrius has the incredible opportunity of leading the great congregation at Third Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Demetrius is a native of Cincinnati, OH. He is an alum of Mt. Healthy High School and he studied accounting and financing at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Currently, Pastor Demetrius is working in the financial sector where he assists individuals in making sound financial decisions. He is also the founder and owner of The Deacon Board Studios for audio recording in Mt. Healthy, OH where he has worked with some of the most talented Christian artists in the region.

As one who has a way with words when writing music or rightfully dividing the word of truth, Pastor Demetrius delivers the word of God with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement. His infectious and effective style of preaching/teaching is clear while both challenging and encouraging the listeners. These gifts also shine through in his music.  Under the moniker of Deacon D.A.S., Pastor Demetrius has several nationally released Christian music albums including Losin’ My Religion, Triumphant, Otherworldly, Blood & Wine and more.
