Elder reggie roberts
Reggie Roberts is a community activist in East Westwood, a neighborhood of Cincinnati. For over 25 years, Reggie has worked with the youth of this community and the surrounding community. In the early 1990s, Reggie cofounded Praise God Baller Basketball where he uses basketball to introduce young people to Jesus Christ.
After 6 years in the U.S. Army as a Computer Operations Supervisor, he cultivated his passion for technology. Today, he is the Director of Enterprise Applications Development for First Financial Bank.
After returning to his neighborhood of East Westwood and seeing the negative changes. He stepped up to help young people. Through his church, Third Presbyterian, or through East Westwood Community Council, Reggie has worked to provide recreational, educational and community service opportunities to youth but most importantly providing the Word of God.
Recently featured in the award-winning documentary, “The Pivot Point”, which tells the story of how Cincinnati police, residents, and community leaders come together to combat violence in the Community.
Reggie has served on numerous committees and currently, is the Co-chair of Cincinnati United Youth Council, an organization that teaches young people leadership skills, community service awareness and event planning skills.
In his free time, Reggie likes coaching basketball; watching movies; and spending time with his wife, Christine, and sons, Reggie J and Sebastian.
